Heated mats, heated floor mats, and heated entrance mats may be the perfect solution for a variety of winter problems caused by cold, snow, and ice. The job of keeping a walkway, handicap ramp, or even a driveway clear just got easier, thanks to outdoor heated floor mats that can melt up to two inches of falling snow per hour. The HeatTrak Snow Melting Traction Mat is a heated floor mat consisting of an electronically operated heating element sandwiched between two protective surfaces of durable non-slip rubber. These heated mats are so durable that they can be left outdoors all winter! A hidden benefit of these heated floor mats is the fact that the non-slip rubber surface helps reduce the possibility of slips and falls by customers, employees, or other visitors. Less expensive to install than embedded snow melting systems, these heated floor mats enable you to maintain a clean and safe pathway to your business or institution without having to shovel, snowblow, or plow. Using heated mats makes a lot of sense, in terms of safety, liability, and property maintenance.
If you need heated floor mats to cover outdoor steps, you can also purchase HeatTrak Rubber Stair Treads or HeatTrack Aluminum Stair Treads. These heated floor mats for stairs are available in eight different sizes. An alternative heated floor mat to consider is the HeatTrak Underlay Mat. This heated mat is designed to lay under existing floor mats for the entire winter. Fourteen different sizes of this versatile heated mat are available for use with virtually any size outdoor floor mat.
