HeatTrak Snow Melting Traction Mat

HeatTraks portable snow melting mats and products are an efficient and convenient way to eliminate snow and ice accumulation around the home or workplace. The HeatTrak portable snow melting mats and ice melting mats are an alternative to more traditional forms of snow and ice removal, such as shoveling, snow blowing, harsh chemicals, and embedded systems. Unlike the alternatives, however, HeatTrak ice melting and snow melting products do not require the effort and strain of shoveling or snow blowing, helps avoid the corrosive effect of chemicals, and continuously melt snow and ice keeping surfaces clear and safe. In addition, the HeatTrak snow melting mats for walkways are less expensive to install than embedded snow melting systems and their portability allows them to be used in places where embedded elements cannot be used. This snow melting system is extremely durable and is designed to be left outside for the entire winter season.

Snow Melting System that Provides Traction and is Cheap to Operate

The HeatTrak snow melting mats are made of an electrically operated heating element sandwiched between two protective surfaces of non-slip rubber, making them as durable as automobile tires and allowing them to endure harsh wear. These commercial snow melting mats plug directly into any standard 120V or 240V outlet using an equipment leakage circuit interrupter (ELCI). This efficient snow melting equipment melts up to 2 inches of falling snow per hour and costs as little as 60 cents a day to operate (depending on the cost per kilowatt hour).

The HeatTrak snow melting system is designed to lay over any flat surface requiring snow and ice removal. In addition to melting snow and ice, the mat's non-slip rubber surface acts as a traction mat, further preventing potential slip-and-fall accidents. The HeatTrak snow melting mat is designed and built with grommet holes to make securing the snow melting mat both simple and effective (see instruction manual for recommended methods of securing the mat). It can be used as a snow melting mat for any walk way, as well as an efficient snow melting system for narrower walkways.
